Frontline PCB Solutions announces the release of version 2.1a of its GenFlex CAM system as of January 28th, 2006.

GenFlex 2.1a adds a new dimension & drawing package enabling creation of mechanical drawings used mainly for creation of punches and dies. Required documentation can now be created from the actual production data, avoiding needless data transfer, and increasing the quality of the documentation. In addition, new editing functions and improvements will further improve the cycle time of a job flow on GenFlex.

GenFlex is structured to help manufacturers meet the special challenges of Flex production, including the ability to create designs that allow for material bending, and compensate for distortion of Flex material in the manufacturing process.

Main new features:

• New Drawing & Dimensioning editor - Fast and easy creation of High Quality dimensioned drawings, including output to PDF and Postscript

• Nested Step Feature editing - Add, move, copy, delete, etc tooling holes from the pcb step while editing the panel.

• Create Bus - Connect 2 connectors with same or different orientation on a COF board or similar design.

• Info Command Generator - New interactive tool to create script data query commands online
